For Vibe First, Swipe Later: Pride Edition

A Conscious Queer Dating Social
Organised by: So You Socials (www.soyousocials.com) - A ground up not-for-profit initiative

In the event that we are unable to proceed with the event due to low sign-ups, session imbalance, venue or operational reasons, or if the participant mix does not allow us to create a comfortable and meaningful social experience, participants may choose to have their ticket transferred to a future event or receive a refund.

For Pride Edition, participants are invited to choose the session they feel most aligned with:

1.  10am–12pm: For queer women, sapphic, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, trans and non-binary people who feel aligned with this session.

2. 1pm–3pm: For queer men, gay, bisexual, pansexual, trans and non-binary people who feel aligned with this session.

We honour that identity, attraction and connection can be nuanced. This event is not organised around rigid gender binaries, but around creating a respectful, inclusive and comfortable environment for queer connection.

1. Purpose of the Event

This event is designed as a guided social experience that blends light self-reflection, fun interaction, and intentional connection. The purpose of the event is to support slow, conscious and human connection through structured activities, small-group interactions, and gentle facilitation.

2. Participant Agreement

By registering for this event, participants agree to:

  • Take full responsibility for their own emotional, social and relational engagement.

  • Respect the privacy, identity, pronouns, space and boundaries of others.

  • Engage in a spirit of openness, curiosity, non-judgment and mutual respect.

  • Participate at their own pace, with the understanding that all activities are optional.

  • Inform the organiser or facilitator if they feel uncomfortable, unsafe, overwhelmed, or require support during the session.

3. LGBTQ+ Inclusivity & Respect

This event is intended to be a queer-affirming space.

Participants are expected to respect all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and relationship orientations shared within the space.

Disrespectful behaviour, including but not limited to homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, misgendering, invasive questioning, outing, shaming, fetishising, or invalidating another person’s identity, will not be tolerated.

Participants must not assume another person’s identity, attraction, availability, or relationship preferences. Connection should always be approached with respect, consent and care.

4. Code of Conduct

To maintain a psychologically safe and socially respectful environment:

  • All interactions should remain consensual, kind and curiosity-led.

  • Participants are expected to respect personal boundaries, including verbal, emotional and physical boundaries.

  • No one is required to share personal information, disclose their identity, explain their sexuality or gender, or engage beyond their comfort level.

  • Harassment, inappropriate comments, persistent advances, disrespectful behaviour, or any conduct that makes others feel unsafe may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.

  • Participants are expected to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding personal stories or identities shared during the session.

5. Consent & Boundaries

This event may involve conversations, light games and social interaction, but it does not imply consent for personal advances, physical contact, ongoing communication, photography, or sharing of someone’s information.

Participants should ask before initiating physical contact, taking photos with others, exchanging contact details, or continuing a conversation that may feel personal or emotionally sensitive.

A “no,” hesitation, silence, or lack of enthusiasm should be respected immediately.

6. Emotional Responsibility

This event may include light self-reflection or emotionally meaningful conversations. Participation is always voluntary.

If at any point you feel overwhelmed, uncomfortable or emotionally activated, you are encouraged to step away, take a break, or speak to a facilitator.

Participants remain responsible for their own emotional and mental wellbeing before, during and after the event.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

I understand that this event is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, crisis support or professional mental health treatment.

I will not hold So You Socials, the facilitators, organisers, venue partners or representatives liable for any emotional distress, interpersonal outcomes, romantic outcomes, social outcomes, personal decisions, or interactions that occur during or after the event.

I acknowledge that all activities are optional and that I participate at my own discretion.

8. Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken for marketing, documentation or social media purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform us before the event begins. Your privacy will be respected.

Participants should not photograph, film, post or identify other participants without their consent.

9. Refunds, Transfers & Cancellations

All sales are final.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person with prior notice, provided the replacement participant is suitable for the session they are attending.

Refunds will not be granted for no-shows, late arrivals, or voluntary withdrawal during the event.

If the organiser needs to cancel or postpone the event due to low sign-ups, session viability, operational issues, or a participant mix that does not allow for a comfortable and meaningful social experience, participants may choose to transfer their ticket to a future event or receive a refund.
